Practical Nursing Program
We have exciting news to share with our alumni, current students, and future students. Care One is now offering the Practical Nursing program.
The next cohort will start on January 2027
Admission Requirements
- Provide an official high school transcript or GED with a minimum of 3.0 GPA.
- Entrance TEAS must be 60 or higher.

Courses that are pre-requisites:
- Nurse Aide I (CNA I)
- College English (ENG 111)
- College Math (MAT 110)
- Psychology (PSY 150)
- Basic Anatomy and Physiology (BIO 163)
- All transferred credit/courses must be from an accredited institution.
- Proof of health insurance.
- Pass a criminal background check and drug test.
- Pass adult and child abuse registry check.
- Submit physical and vaccination requirements and screening.
- Have a positive interview with the school Administrator.
- Must be 18 years old or older.
- Pay a $90 application fee. This is not included in tuition.
- The admission prerequisite requirements for the PN program include the following:
- College Math (MAT 110), College English (ENG 111), Psychology (PSY 150), Basic Anatomy and Physiology (BIO 163)
- Nurse Aide I (CNA I) course from an accredited school, and current North Carolina certification
- 60 contact hours as Nurse Aide I (CNA I), Nurse Aide II (CNA II), or Medication Aide
- Nurse Aide II (CNA II) or Medication Aide courses from an accredited school, and current North Carolina certifications in respective courses
